It has been a long winter and an even longer year. Since our recent move I have been busy getting my bass fishing back on track.
It is currently two months from my first BASS Northern Open Tournament. The first event is on Chesapeake Bay (April 16th to 18th 2009).

Preparing for this tournament has been challenging. I have only fished one tidal system in my life (BASS Eastern Divisional 2007, Connecticut River). I expect Chesapeake Bay and the Connecticut River will be similar yet very different. I have been mining some great online resources. Preparation for this event has been mostly reviewing maps, scouring tournament records and reading articles (print and online).
The past few weeks I have ben spending my time is setting up a new BASS Chapter, The Hamilton Bassmasters. This great new BASS Chapter is growing quickly. Membership is growing quickly! This is a busy yet exciting time for this new chapter.
Between upcoming tournaments and the new chapter my schedule is filling quickly. Oh well, better busy than not.
